I would like to warmly welcome the news that the village of Rooskey and nearby towns of Strokestown, Frenchpark, Elphin and Ballaghaderreen are each set to benefit from a financial grant of €100,000 aimed at reviving the town centres and enhancing leisure attractions such as walkways and cycleways. The allocation was announced at a recent Boyle Municipal District meeting which confirmed that Roscommon County Council expect to receive in the region of €700,000 which will be distributed around the region. This is great news for the area and will see great progress.
