I welcome this week’s announcement that some thirteen groups in County Roscommon have been awarded funding of €64,000 to help deal with the cost of increases to the minimum wage.

Amongst those who will benefit from the recent allocations are the Ballinagare Health and Leisure Centre Company which received the sum of €4,400, Cait Roscomain, which received €3,300, Elphin Community Centre Company which received €2,200, Tulsk Action Group Company which was in receipt of €4,400, Roscommon Integrated Development Company Limited which was allocated €4,400 and Croghan Organic Excel Company Roscommon which will benefit to the tune of €5,500.

These monies have been made available under the Community Services Programme (CSP) Support Fund 2019 and represent very good news for the region.
