In positive news for Boyle County Roscommon, Irish Water are set to invest the sum of 2.4 million to extend the Boyle Water Supply Scheme to Grangemore which will undoubtedly improve the water quality and security of supply to customers.

Grangemore are currently served by Cavetown Water Treatment Plant and has been subject to a no boil water notice in the past but as soon as this extensive project is completed, (expected to be around December 2019) customers in the region will receive their water from the Boyle Water Supply.

Source Civil Limited have been appointed to oversee the multi mullion euro project and work is due to commence in the coming weeks on the venture which it is hoped will see a welcome upgrade to Roscommon’s water infrastructure and a welcome end to the constant boil notices which have affected loyal and frustrated customers for so long.
