I would like to warmly welcome the news that a number of environmental initiatives in the midlands region are set to receive funding of almost 20,000 under the 2018 Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund. Ballaghaderren National School will benefit from 450 while Ballyfornan Tidy Towns has been allocated the same amount to use recycled timber to make seating and stepping stones in the proposed new playground.

Also set to receive 450 is St. Patrick’s NS in Boyle which will enable them to install a rainwater harvest system. This is positive and long overdue news for these initiatives.
