I am delighted to confirm that the Shannonside village of Rooskey is to receive a major financial boost under the Government’s Town and Village Renewal Scheme of €100,000 towards the improvement of the village townscape while Strokestown will also receive €80,000 to enhance building frontage in town and purchase chalet type stalls and marquee.
Also set to benefit are Boyle Town Centre Development Project to the tune of €200,000, Ballaghaderreen Town enhancement project will receive €100,000 while Athleague Development of a local economic and community action plan are to receive €100,000.
This is fantastic news for the region and is warmly welcomed by all.
