A lack of teachers in the Rosocmmon region is forcing students to turn to grind schools, according to secondary school principals, while many schools had to open ths year without a full team of staff. These stark facts were revealed at the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals and revealed that Irish medium schools were particularly affected, most notably those in rural areas, which contributed to a unfair socio economic divide in many schools. I am calling on the Minister for Education to urgently invest in schools in the midlands region and in particularly rural areas which have been neglected for far too long.
