I welcome the news that over forty recipients are set to benefit from the allocation of € 240,000 under the Community Enhancement Programme (CEP). The news, which was announced by the Minister for Rural Affairs Michael Ring, will see Dysart Community centre receive € 22,000 to go towards car parking resurfacing while € 20,000 was given to the Boyle Family Resource Centre.
The O’Rourke GAA Centre in Castlerea received € 10,000 for work on the centre’s kitchens and sanitary facilities while € 12,000 was allocated to the Frenchpark Development Committee for the upgrading of the central heating system – in all 25 voluntary and community groups received € 1,000 in funding under this scheme.
